HobbyHack presents itself as a social learning platform that aims to connect individuals with similar skill levels into collaborative groups referred to as “crews.” This innovative approach offers an opportunity for skill development in woodworking, guided by a comprehensive 9-level framework established by a Master Woodworker and Furniture Maker. The framework accommodates learners ranging from beginners to skilled enthusiasts.

Two fundamental goals underpin the design of this application.

Users are provided with a clearly defined path that outlines the necessary skills for each level, paired with an extensive list of instructional videos that correspond to these skills. Furthermore, participants will engage in peer assessments of each other's projects, fostering constructive feedback that is aimed at enhancing collective growth and accelerating the learning process.

 The second goal addresses the modern user’s desire for authentic online connections. Collaborating with individuals who share common interests and aspirations significantly enriches the learning experience. In response, HobbyHack organizes users into intimate groups of up to 25 members, or "Crews," ensuring that participants can develop meaningful relationships with their peers following an initial assessment.
